Extended Absences 2021-2022

Dear Parent or Guardian,

We understand how frustrating it can be for your child to miss school for an illness or a Covid-19-related quarantine.  We want to support you in every way we can when your child is unable to attend.  Below is some information we hope you will find helpful.

If your child is experiencing any of the following symptoms, please keep them home for 24 hours before returning to school:

  • Temperature of 100.4 or greater
  • Cough unrelated to asthma
  • Shortness of breath/difficulty breathing
  • Sore throat
  • Loss of taste/smell
  • Body aches/pain
  • Chills
  • Nausea/Vomiting
  • Diarrhea

If you would like to test your child for Covid-19, Canyons District is offering rapid tests on Monday and Thursday mornings at the district office.  https://www.canyonsdistrict.org/covid-19/testing/
